Engineering Academic Computing Services

Engineering Academic Computing Services provides computing-related assistance to all College of Engineering departments and offices. Areas of support include Administrative, Instructional and Research computing.

EACS Services and Software

Facilities and services for computing currently provided by Engineering Academic Computing Services include several instructional laboratories and technical consulting. Some departments within the College also support their own computing facilities. EACS provides system administration and consultation as needed.

EACS provides general campus access to various software packages site licensed by the College of Engineering. Please visit the EACS Site License Management System for more details. We also provide access to the Web version of MeetingMaker to be used when you are off campus.

Effective as of March 1, 1993, EACS has established recharge rates for computer lab usage, and labor. The following list of services and resources are now covered by recharge:

EACS Web design/support @ $36 /hour
System support and consultation @ $42 /hour

Administrative Computing

Engineering Academic Computing Services also provides administrative computing support for the entire College of Engineering. All administrative units within the College have access to the Administrative servers and support services that EACS has to offer. Web servers, calendar servers and file servers are maintained by EACS for use by all the staff in the College.

Research Computing

College of Engineering research computing systems are housed in the Computer Machine Room facility located in 1344 Academic Surge. Support for large scale computing, including cluster systems, is provided by EACS staff.
