Engineering Meeting Room Facilities

POLICY FOR STUDENTS USING ROOM 1003

  • The Dean’s Office reserves the right to “bump” department reservations if a college-wide event or meeting takes precedent. The Dean’s Office will give as much advance notice as possible.
  • Reservations of room 1003 during the academic year will be held on a tentative basis until College committee meetings are confirmed.
  • Conference rooms may not be reserved on Fridays. Friday and weekend requests are carefully considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Conference rooms may not be scheduled on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Conference rooms are not to be used for Student Organizational Meetings. Clubs registered through SPAC can reserve most spaces through Campus Events and Visitor Services.
  • The conference rooms are not to be used as classrooms. Faculty should be referred to the Registrar’s Office if they ask to use a room at the same time each week for an entire quarter.
  • Only EJC representatives may reserve rooms and pick up conference room keys. Keys must be returned to the Dean’s Office (1042 Kemper Hall) no later than 9:00 a.m. the following day.
  • The moveable wall between rooms 1003 and 1007 is not to be tampered with for any reason.
  • Individuals using the rooms are responsible for any cleanup and removal of trash that may have resulted from their event. When food is served in conference rooms, tables must be wiped down and put back in their original order; all food and trash must be removed from the room. New plastic liners, located in the credenza, should be inserted in trashcans.

Using the Dean’s Office conference rooms is a privilege, and that privilege will be revoked if these guidelines are not respected.
