Advising for Undergraduates
In establishing the College of Engineering's undergraduate programs, we have made every effort to provide for maximum flexibility consistent with rigorous preparation for professional practice or graduate study. The key to successful flexibility is an effective system of advising.
College of Engineering students are required to complete degree requirements in effect the academic year they graduate or the academic year prior to the year of graduation. Students who plan to graduate during the 2007-2008 academic year must meet requirements listed in the College of Engineering Bulletin for 2006-2007 or 2007-2008.

New Student Orientation (formerly Summer Advising)
The UC Davis Orientation program for incoming students is designed to advise new students and welcome them to the campus community. Orientation provides the student with the opportunity to get started on the right foot and to obtain the guidance needed to select classes for Fall Quarter. Coordinated closely with the advising services of the College of Engineering, the primary focus of the UC Davis Orientation is academic advising. This program is so important that the campus expects each new student will participate in this program. For more information on new student orientation programs visit http://orientation.ucdavis.edu/ or call (530) 752-2969.
