Events
Academic Peer Advising Workshops - Each academic quarter, the Academic Peer Advising group will setup workshops for students to participate in. The workshops vary from learning time management, finding out undergraduate research opportunities, to learning about obtaining internships in the field of Engineering. Other events that the Academic Peer Advisers participate in are the Engineering Week event and the Spring Quarter social events.
Aerobrick - The UC Davis Aerodesign Team is comprised of Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering students who work throughout the school year to design and build a heavy lift RC airplane. The plane is designed to lift a lot of weight (about 5 times its own empty weight) and is referred to as the "Aerobrick."
AMAT (Aggie Micro Aeronautics Team) - The AMAT in the Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering Department competes every year in the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineering) Aero Design West heavy weight competition. In 2006 the team obtained the Best Design Report Award (out of 50 teams) and placed 4th (out of 37 teams) in the Regular Class.
Concrete Canoe & Steel Bridge & Environmental Engineering Competition - The American Society of Civil Engineers Davis Student Chapter participates in these three competitions.
E-ball Game! - The Annual E-ball (softball) game is sponsored by the Engineering Joint Council during the spring quarter. Includes a free BBQ dinner!
Engineering Week - Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, National Engineers Week is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers, and leaders in government and business. Every February.
Ice Cream Social & Engineering Student Club Faire - Ice Cream Social for new incoming Freshman and Transfer students. Display and information tables for engineering clubs.
MicroMouse - MicroMouse is an official course offered at UC Davis under EEC-194ABC. It is one of the few undergraduate courses that integrates several different disciplines of engineering, ranging from electrical to mechanical to computer science - it can offer a valuable learning experience. In addition to various regional and national events for MicroMouse competition, one of our fondest events at UC Davis is the Picnic Day competition which occurs every spring.
Picnic Day - Picnic Day is the largest student-run event in the United States and is the annual Open House for the University of California, Davis.

Team Fate: Future Car & Future Truck - Team Fate is an advanced Hybrid Vehicle research group at the University of California at Davis. Each year, they convert a stock automobile into a fuel efficient hybrid electric vehicle while enhancing the level of comfort and driveability that consumers demand.
"Team Aggie Spirit" in the DARPA Grand Challenge - The DARPA Grand Challenge is an autonomous vehicle race over an approximate 175-mile course through the Mojave Desert in the shortest time under 10 hours.
