College of Engineering UC Davis

Graduate Recruitment and Retention for Diversity

Students are advised on all aspects of the graduate school admission process. The Graduate Studies and Research Directory, Engineering Bulletin, and the Graduate Student Newsletter are available. The Engineering Graduate Studies web site provides an excellent source of information for new and continuing students.

The TOPS program (Toward Outstanding Postgraduate Students) awards fellowships in the form of research assistant positions plus full-fee waivers for disadvantaged students. Nonresident tuition fellowships are available to select students as well.

UC Davis is a member of the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science, Inc. (GEM) awarding M.S. and Ph.D. fellowships: http://www.gemfellowship.org/

During Winter Quarter 2008, the College will present a series of seminars titled "Gearing Up for Grad School" for undergraduates from Freshmen to Seniors who want to explore the road to graduate study.
