2010-2011 Transfer Admission Requirements

All engineering majors require the following preparatory courses for admission:

  • Mathematics 21 A/B/C/D
  • Mathematics 22 A/B
  • Chemistry 2A
  • Physics 9 A/B/C
  • English 1 or English 3 (now under University Writing Program, UWP) and an additional English Composition course

In addition to the general requirements outlined above, each engineering major requires that a specific set of preparatory courses be completed in order for a student to be admitted.

You may also use ASSIST to search for courses at your current college that are equivalent to UC Davis courses in engineering and other disciplines. You must complete all required courses if they're offered at your current college. If they're not offered at your college, you must complete them after enrolling at UC Davis.

The College of Engineering maintains a list of specific courses at California community colleges which are equivalent to engineering major requirements.
