Lisa Laughter currently serves as the First Year Academic Advisor in the College of Engineering. Lisa has worked in Higher Education for over 25 years in a variety of roles from admissions counselor to directing a college advising office. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Education in HigherEducation. Lisa also has training as a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and is an Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation. Lisa has a passion for supporting her students, co-workers and other professionals in finding harmony in their academic/work/life experience. In her work Lisa partners with her students in setting intentions and goals. She believes her students have all the answers they need and her role is to guide them along the way. She empowers her students to lead purposeful lives full of intention ,joy ,and balance. Lisa moved to California in 2017 and is enjoying the change of pace from her life in Pullman Washington. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Ellie and dog Gary. On the side Lisa has her own business –Lisa Laughter Life Coaching. She loves coaching and training others in becoming the best version of themselves. One of her favorite quotes is “Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Mahatma Gandhi.
