Preparing Engineering Graduates Students for the 21st Century (PEGS 21) is a program supported by funding from the National Science Foundation to increase the recruitment, retention, success and graduation of students historically underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)* and to implement and study effective practices that contribute to success in STEM. By increasing the number of engineers qualified at the highest levels of education, entering the workforce in leadership positions, the program helps create a more diversified and representative workforce.
