Ways to Give

Gifts to the College of Engineering are tax deductible, and you are able to designate your gift to a number of initiatives. Both endowment and current-use funds are critically important to the College.

Give online

Pledge a gift
Pledges allow donors to make payments over time, which sometimes enables contributors to give more generously. Payments can be made using a number of assets (cash, credit card, stock, etc) over a period of five years. To discuss pledging a gift, please email us.
Matching gifts
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Find out if your company offers a matching gift by typing in your employers name in our database.
Bequests and other planned gifts
Planned gifts are giving arrangements that enable donors to support the university while benefiting from specific tax advantages and income streams.
Give stock
Gifts of securities, including stocks, bonds and mutual funds, can provide relief from capital gains taxes. To receive stock transfer instructions, please email us.
Gifts-in-kind
Gifts-in-kind are items of tangible personal property or other physical assets — including artwork, books, equipment or specialized instruments — that are of value to the university. To discuss a specific gift-in-kind, please email us.
Gifts of real property
Gifts of real property, including land, farms, personal residences, and rental or commercial property, can benefit the university while providing relief from capital gains taxes and eliminating property expenses. To discuss a gift of property, please email us.
Give from your IRA
If you are 70½ years old or order, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit UC Davis and receive tax benefits in return. Learn more.
