UC Davis College of Engineering 2017 Undergraduate Rankings
DAVIS, Calif.; September 16, 2016–The U.S. News and World Report 2017 rankings of America’s Best Colleges show that UC Davis’ College of Engineering is moving up the list.
Highlights from the report:
- 16th among public undergraduate engineering programs whose highest degree is a doctorate (tied with Ohio State University). *up one place from last year
- 28th overall among all undergraduate engineering programs whose highest degree is a doctorate (tied with Harvard University, Ohio State University and the University of Southern California). *up three places from last year
- 7th among public undergraduate biological/agricultural engineering programs.
- 12th among public undergraduate civil engineering programs (tied with Iowa State University).
The overall campus ranking for UC Davis was 10th among public institutions and 44th among both public and private universities.

Unlike the U.S. News and World Report graduate engineering rankings that rely on a number of factors, the undergraduate engineering ranking is solely based on the peer judgments of deans and senior faculty who rate each ABET-accredited program they are familiar with on a scale from 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).
