BESA Industry Outreach is excited to be hosting Melinda Lear from Johnson & Johnson to give an informative presentation + Q&A about industry for all who are interested! The presentation will be held 11/19/25 in the GBSF auditorium 1009 at 1:30 pm (anticipated to be ~1 hr).

Dr. Woojin Han is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine.

Andrés J. García is the Executive Director of the Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience and Regents’ Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. 

Priscilla Hwang, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Associate Member of Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA. She received her BS degree in biomedical and electrical engineering from Duke University.

Jiro Nagatomi is a professor of Bioengineering and the director of the Cell Mechanics and Mechanobiology Laboratory at Clemson University (South Carolina). He has been an active researcher and educator in biomechanics and mechanobiology for over 20 years. He completed his B.S. and Ph.D.
