GGSS Seminar - A Parametric Analysis of Oroville Dam

Steven Friesen is a Senior Seismic Specialist with the California Department of Water Resources. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly University. His work experience at DWR spans 24 years and includes a broad spectrum of civil, structural, and geotechnical design and analysis. Notable projects include the Perris Dam Remediation Project, Oroville Dam Emergency Spillway Replacement, Thermalito River Outlet Refurbishment, and Oroville Dam Seismic Study. He currently manages research contracts with U.C. Davis and UCLA. He served in the Army National Guard as a combat medic, deploying to Afghanistan in 2010. His hobbies include running, home improvement projects, and playing with his dogs.
