Structural Engineering: From Student to Practicing Engineer

This presentation will be a high-level overview of what life as a practicing engineer is like. From graduation, to getting a job, to transitioning into the workforce and obtaining a license, there is a lot about the day-to-day work of structural engineering that isn’t taught in school. The goal is to highlight some of these lesser discussed topics, and to cover some of the basics about the role of structural engineers in the overall construction process. The presentation will also contain some project highlights and will discuss what goes into a set of structural drawings. Questions and engagement in the presentation are highly encouraged!
