This Vision Seminar will establish a connection between Amy Richardson's educational background, professional experience, and the anticipated responsibilities of the Assistant Professor of Teaching at UC Davis. Amy will guide you through a chronological overview of her professional journey, highlighting experiences relevant to teaching and learning, professional and scholarly endeavors, and engagement in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Bio

Amy Richardson is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Virginia Tech within the Department of Engineering Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and earned her Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Virginia Tech. Additionally, she is a registered Professional Engineer. With more than 15 years of experience, Amy has taught mathematics and engineering at various educational levels, including high school, community college, and university settings. Her research is centered on broadening participation in engineering, particularly through transfer programs from community colleges.
