Engineers Without Borders
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a student organization established to help developing areas worldwide with their engineering needs while involving and training internationally responsible engineering students. Our club partners with international communities who have reached out to our national headquarters, expressing a need in a vital resource such as access to safe drinking water.
Society of Women Engineers
Society of Women Engineers at UC Davis aims to inspire women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. SWE caters to all engineering majors and hosts events for both men and women. In fact, one third of SWE's members are comprised of male engineers. The local chapter here at UC Davis is free to all engineering students and provides a variety of workshops, community service, mentorship and industrial contact and outreach to engineering students.
Women in Computer Science
Women in Computer Science (WiCS) supports, empowers, and motivates the growing community of women in computer science at UC Davis. We aim to prepare women for the tech industry through providing inspiration to explore both professional and educational opportunities. This is achieved by creating a powerful community, providing mentorship, and helping them grow to further succeed.
Programs
AvenueE

The Tanya Whitlow Scholarship with support from Chevron and Friends
Tanya Whitlow started the UC Davis College of Engineering Leadership in Engineering Advancement, Diversity and Retention (LEADR) program in 2012 to provide a support group for first-generation students grounded in an advising foundation. She served as director of the program until May 2021. Chevron, one of LEADR's most loyal investors and supporters, allocated $50,000 to establish an endowed scholarship supporting LEADR students in Tanya's memory.
