Construction Management at UC Davis sent eight teams to compete in design build, heavy civil, commercial, mixed-use, pre-construction, project management, integrated project and sustainable building. These categories house some of the fundamentals of construction management, which students in the club learn to further their future careers in construction.

"The most rewarding part of being a member of Construction Management is being able to expose yourself to construction companies after the ASC competition and being able to land internships," said Shen Hout '23, who is studying civil engineering and served as the 2022 club president.

The club's main goal is to expose students to the principles of construction engineering and management while winding the gears for their future success in the construction field.

Though the ASC competition is their largest focus, Huot said they also host weekly professional construction coaching where students can ask questions and hear from industry experts.

"My favorite part about our club is hosting info sessions with construction companies, who provide valuable information and opportunities for students to participate in their summer internship programs and full-time positions," he said.
