Bio

Raissa D'Souza is a professor in the Departments of Computer Science and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, as well as an external professor at the Santa Fe Institute. She is lead editor for Physical Review Research and on the Board of Reviewing Editors at Science. She received a Ph.D. in statistical physics from MIT in 1999, then did postdoctoral training at Bell Laboratories and at Microsoft Research. Her interdisciplinary work on network theory and complex systems spans the fields of statistical physics, theoretical computer science and applied math, and has appeared in journals such as Science, PNAS, Nature Physics and Physical Review Letters.
