He specializes in stem cell biology, hematology, and oncology. After earning his M.D. (2000) and Ph.D. (2004) from Keio University, Japan, and postdoctoral fellow at Harvard, he established his own lab at Einstein in 2012. Dr. Ito has published 51 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals like Cell Stem Cell, Nature, and Science, along with 33 invited publications.
