The following facilities are accessible to the public either through memberships or daily fees
College-Wide Facilities
Center for Nano and Micro Manufacturing
The Center for Nano and Micro Manufacturing (CNM2) houses a 10,000 square-foot ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom, offering a broad line of lithography tools, metal and dielectric thin-film deposition, dry etching, thermal process, analytical and characterization equipment to support device manufacturing for a variety of industries and applications.
Membership at CNM2 includes 24/7 access to the cleanroom, equipment, staff training, and technical assistance.
Department-Managed Facilities
Advanced Materials Characterization and Testing Laboratory
The Advanced Materials Characterization and Testing Laboratory (AMCaT) is a shared resource facility in Kemper Hall that is available to all interested users on and off campus. AMCaT offers a wide variety of materials characterization tools, along with the professional experience needed to train and assist users or carry out laboratory services.
Access to the AMCaT laboratory is based on hourly recharge fees that vary depending on the equipment or service.
Center for Geotechnical Modeling
The Center for Geotechnical Modeling (CGM) provides users access to world-class geotechnical modeling facilities, including 9-m and 1-m radius centrifuges with shaking tables, to enable major advances in the ability to predict and improve the performance of soil and soil-structure systems affected by earthquake, wave, wind and storm surge loadings.
More information about recharge rates and using the facilities can be found on the CGM website.
Center for Molecular and Genomic Imaging
The Center for Molecular and Genomic Imaging (CMGI) provides dedicated, state-of-the-art animal and biospecimen imaging technologies to investigators at UC Davis and other research institutions. Our imaging modalities include PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, optical (fluorescence and bioluminescence), high resolution CT specimen scanning and autoradiography.
CMGI staff can perform imaging procedures for you, or you can perform the imaging unassisted after you've been trained by CMGI staff.
