The College of Engineering Dean's Distinguished Speaker Series wrapped up on April 19 with the director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, or LLNL, Kim Budil visiting campus. The 13th director of the LLNL, Budil oversees an annual operating budget of about $2.9 billion and a workforce of about 8,300 employees – about 3,000 of whom have been hired over the last three years.
