With an increase in cognitive and neurological disorders such as dementia, stroke and Alzheimer’s, researchers worldwide are actively seeking pathways to help people restore neural function and improve their quality of life. The UC Davis College of Engineering announces the launch of the UC Davis Center for Neuroengineering & Medicine (NE&M), an integrated, multi-disciplinary effort that seeks to repair, restore and augment human capacity to benefit society.

UC Davis College of Engineering 2020 Undergraduate Rankings

The U.S. News and World Report 2020 rankings of America’s Best Colleges show that UC Davis’ College of Engineering is moving up the list. The College of Engineering was ranked 29 out of 206 universities that offer doctoral programs, which is up three places from last year.

Roland Faller named Associate Dean of Facilities and Capital Planning

Chemical Engineering professor Roland Faller will serve as the College of Engineering’s next Associate Dean of Facilities and Capital Planning, beginning July 1.

As associate dean, Faller will manage all College of Engineering capital projects and oversee space allocations, renovations and repairs, as well as new space construction. He will also serve as the college’s point of contact for space and capital planning across campus.

UC Davis climbs two spots in 2020 engineering graduate school rankings

The University of California, Davis rose two places from last year in U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of engineering graduate schools. The College of Engineering is now ranked 31st out of over 200 public and private institutions across the country, tied with Virginia Tech and the University of Colorado, Boulder. This is the second increase in ranking in as many years.

“Our college continues to increase in national visibility and our growing prominence is being recognized by both our academic peers and industrial leaders,” said Dean Jennifer Sinclair Curtis.
