UC Davis Coffee Center researchers, in collaboration with the Coffee Science Foundation, are investigating how physical defects in green coffee affect flavor. By identifying sensory thresholds for defects, their work aims to refine coffee grading standards and improve quality assessment in the coffee industry.

UC Davis Researchers Join Internet Society Fellowship

Assistant Professor Alexander Gamero-Garrido and Ph.D. student Nishant Acharya, both of computer science, have been selected for the Internet Society’s Pulse Research Fellowship and Mentorship program. Renetta Garrison Tull Elected President of LACCEI

Renetta Garrison Tull, vice chancellor of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of California, Davis, has been elected president of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions, or LACCEI. Her term will begin on January 1, 2025.

Video Series Aims at Improving Indoor Air Quality

A new video series developed by experts at the UC Davis College of Engineering and California Department of Public Health aims to help building and facility managers better understand how to manage indoor air quality. Better indoor air quality can reduce the spread of airborne diseases such as COVID-19 and improve productivity in schools and workplaces.
